Hello, I’m Dorinel.
A passionate wedding photographer, who loves to capture authentic wedding stories throughout Northamptonshire and beyond.
My journey into wedding photography began through a simple fascination with beautiful images. I spent countless hours admiring wedding photographs from talented photographers around the world, inspired by their ability on how they preserve those genuine emotions and meaningful moments, and over the time, photography became much more than a hobby—it became a passion made from my heart.
Since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of photographing intimate and full-day weddings, helping couples preserve the moments and memories they’ll cherish for a lifetime. Every wedding I’ve captured has been unique, and that’s one of the things I love most about what I do.

Why Documentary Wedding Photography?
I believe weddings don't need to be perfect to be beautiful.
In a world where social media often showcases perfectly staged moments, I prefer to focus on what is real. The laughter that wasn't planned. The tears that nobody expected. The hugs, smiles, and emotions that happen naturally throughout your wedding day.
My approach to wedding photography is simple: I stay calm, observe and capture.
Rather than constantly directing or interrupting moments, I blend into the background and allow your day to unfold naturally. This enables me to document genuine emotions and create photographs that feel honest, timeless, and deeply personal.
As a documentary wedding photographer in Northampton, my goal is to tell the story of your wedding exactly as it happened.
A Friend With a Camera
One of the most meaningful compliments I receive from couples is that I feel more like a friend with a camera than a photographer.
Your wedding day should never feel like a photoshoot.
Many couples tell me they worry about being awkward in front of the camera or that they're "not photogenic." The truth is, most of the couples I photograph feel exactly the same way.
That's why I provide gentle guidance whenever needed while keeping posing natural and relaxed. You'll never be forced into uncomfortable positions or spend hours away from your guests.
Instead, I'll help you feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourselves.
Beyond photography
Originally from Romania, I now proudly call Northampton as my new home.
Married to my wonderful wife, Mirela, we've been sharing life's adventures together since 2017. We are also parents too, and we're raising our beautiful son, who keeps us on our toes and fills our days with laughter, curiosity, and the occasional bit of chaos. Family means everything to me, which is perhaps one of the reasons I value documentary wedding photography so deeply.
When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll usually find me: exploring new places around the UK with my family, enjoying an early morning coffee with my wife, spending time with our much-loved (and very lazy) cat, swimming or running to stay active or taking on DIY projects around the house.
These everyday moments remind me just how valuable photographs become as the years pass.
